Alberta Drifter
10 day packtrip
experience level: intermediate-experienced
An unforgettable adventure awaits you on this 10 day excursion which will take you through three iconic Alberta landscapes, following in the footsteps of First Nations, Explorers, Mounted Police and cowboys.
THE ITINERARY
Experience the best riding in Alberta
We start in the forested foothills and Rocky Mountains, then load the horses up and drive 350 km to the vast grasslands in Southeastern Alberta, and we finish up riding the high plateau of the Cypress Hills near the Saskatchewan border.
Eight days of riding in a wide range of topographies will leave you amazed by the versatility of the horses and with an enduring respect for the hardiness of our forbearers on this beautiful land.
The itinerary is an outline of what to expect, rather than a fixed agenda. We may have to alter the plan if conditions like weather and river levels make a trail unsafe

The details
“I experienced the 10 day Moose Mountain & Prairie Expedition with the 35 Km Competitive Trail Ride addition. The scenery both riding up & down the Rocky Mountains, simply took your breath away!”
“Excellent and reliable horses, great guides with a lot knowledge about many things (horses, the Rockies, camping, cooking on a wood-fire to name a few), a very well structured and planned trip, and the fantastic scenery of this area. The riding was challenging at times, going up and down some steep mountains, and was physically demanding (in a good way).”
