The routes of the Saddle+Paddle-Trails vary each year according to the interests and abilities of our guests. In 2012 the trail ride leads us through Kanananaskis National Park.... The canoe trail takes us through Kootenay National Park.
If you prefer either the saddle or the paddle, you can book the trail ride as well as the canoe trail seperately.
Itinerary 2012
| 29 July | Guests arrive in Calgary before 4 PM, transfer to M&M Ranch, reception, dinner and accommodation at the ranch |
| 30 July | Ride to Threepoint Camp (ca 5 hours) in the foothills, overnight in camp |
| 31 July | Ride over Forgetmenot Ridge to the Elbow Camp (ca 7 hours), overnight in camp |
| 01 Aug | Relaxing day with a short ride (4 hours) up Box Canyon. Very dramatic ride passing a waterfall and along a cliff face, return to Elbow camp in the afternoon |
| 02 Aug | Ride around Threepoint Mountain down the Cougar Gap. (6 hours) overnight in camp |
| 03 Aug | Ride over Powderface Ridge to the trailhead, transfer to the M&M Ranch, accommodation and dinner in the guesthouse |
| 04 Aug | Transfer to McLeod Meadows in British Columbia where we launch the canoes in the Kootenay River. Short Paddle to first camp |
| 05 Aug | Paddle on the Kootenay River |
| 06 Aug | Paddle on the Kootenay River |
| 07 Aug | Paddle on the Kootenay River |
| 08 Aug | Paddle to Canal Flats, pick up and transfer to M&M Ranch |
